Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff Recipe
1lb lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped finely
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon plain flour
1/3 cup beef stock
2 tablespoons ketchup
8 oz sour cream
2 tablespoons olive oil
1. In a large pan saute the onion and mushrooms in the olive oil, until the onions are slightly brown and soft. Remove from the heat and put to one side.
2. Cook the ground beef in the pan and drain off any excess fat. Sprinkle the flour of the ground beef and stir well.
3. Add the beef stock, ketchup, onion and mushrooms and stir well. Cook and stir until the mixture has thickened.
4. Stir in the sour cream and heat for around 2 minutes. Serve at once.
5. Remove bay leaf before serving.
