Sage and Onion Stuffing Recipe
4 onions (sliced)
8-10 sage leaves
125g soft white breadcrumbs
40g butter
salt and pepper
1 Place the sliced onions into boiling water, simmer for around 5 minutes. Just a minute or two before the onions are taken out place the sage leaves into the boiling water. Drain well.
2 Chop the onions and sage leaves very finely. Then in a bowl add these to the breadcrumbs and butter. Season with salt and pepper and mix very well.
3 If you wish to make stuffing balls, add the yolk of one egg to the mixture, mix well, then roll small balls in the palm of your hand and put aside on a plate until ready to serve. To heat this sage and onion stuffing recipe, just warm in the oven for around 10 minutes.
